My wife Irene and I have always enjoyed having a glass of wine or two at dinner, but we did not consider ourselves wine aficionados until we took this class at a local institute. It was kind of a lark, but we got into it, trying to discern the differences between wines and tease out the various notes and flavors each grape and vintage had. What pleasure! Our favorite type of wine was Bordeaux, so we resolved to each other that we would go to France to take a wine tour the following summer. We began researching bordeaux wine tours vehemently, trying to find the one that had the best guides, the best vineyards, and the best prices, and we stumbled upon one site that had it all! The tour itself was great; we went in May and enjoyed all of the wine we could handle, and I think we want to go back next year!
